This website is operated by Barbara (Crafts By Barbs), based in New Zealand.

When you place an order or contact me through this website, I may collect:

Your name — so I know who I'm making for and how to address you

Your delivery address — to get your order to you

Your email address — to send order confirmations and updates

Your phone number — if you choose to provide it, for delivery notifications

Your order details — the products, sizes, designs, and any personalisation instructions you provide

Payment information — this is handled securely by Stripe and I never see or store your card details directly

 

If you contact me directly by email or through a contact form, I'll also keep a record of that conversation.

 

How I use your information

 

I use your personal information to:

Process and fulfil your order

Send you order confirmations and shipping updates

Respond to enquiries or messages you send me

Resolve any issues with your order

 

I do not use your information for unsolicited marketing without your consent.

 

Who I share your information with

 

I do not sell your personal information to anyone. Ever.

 

Your information may be shared with the following trusted third parties only to the extent necessary to complete your order:

NZ Post — your name and delivery address are shared with NZ Post (or a comparable courier) to fulfil your delivery.

 

How long I keep your information

 

I keep your order and contact information for as long as is reasonably necessary for business and legal purposes — for example, to resolve disputes, answer questions about past orders, or meet any obligations under New Zealand law.

 

Your rights

 

Under the Privacy Act 2020, you have the right to:

Ask what personal information I hold about you

Ask me to correct any information that is wrong or out of date

Ask me to delete your information in certain circumstances

I'll respond as soon as I can, and no later than 20 working days (as required by the Act).

 

TikTok Live order fulfilment

 

I sometimes make custom orders live on TikTok (@craftsbybarbs).

If your order is made during a live stream, the following may be visible to viewers:

Your first name (or the name provided with your order)

Your order details, including the product, design, and any personalisation

 

I do not share your delivery address, email, phone number, or payment information during live streams.

By placing a custom order, you acknowledge that your order details may be shown during a TikTok Live.

 

If you would prefer your order not to be featured, please let me know at craftsbybarbs@gmail.com and I will make it off-camera.
